Sarum Systems installs and maintains Hikvision CCTV across Rayleigh and the surrounding patch of Hockley, Hullbridge and Rochford. We fit cameras for family homes, including new builds at Wolsey Park, for shops along the High Street and for units on the Brook Road and Imperial Park industrial estates. We cover south Essex from our base in Harlow, so the survey is free, the engineer who quotes is the one who fits, and maintained systems have our three hour response commitment.
HD & 4K camera systems with remote viewing, recording and smart motion alerts.
Wired & wireless intruder alarms, monitored and app-connected, fitted to BS EN 50131.
Keypad, fob and door-entry systems that control exactly who goes where.
Fire detection and alarm systems designed, installed and serviced to BS 5839.
Rayleigh is an old market town that has grown well beyond its centre. The High Street runs down from Holy Trinity church, a short walk from Rayleigh Mount and the windmill, and its shops and offices tend to have narrow rear access. Around that core are later estates, including housing built on former greenfield land in the 1990s, and now Wolsey Park on the western edge of town off Rawreth Lane, with Countryside homes around Ravengar Grove and a Bloor phase on the same estate. Commercial premises sit on Brook Road Industrial Estate to the south, with good access onto the A127, and on Imperial Park and Rawreth Industrial Estate off Rawreth Lane. Further out, Hockley has the Eldon Way and Foundry estate, Rochford has Purdeys and the business park west of London Southend Airport, and Hullbridge runs up to the River Crouch. External fittings have to respect local rules, and we always work to the guidance published by Rochford District Council.
Wolsey Park and the other newer estates around Rayleigh have homes set close together, parking off to the side and passages behind side gates. Those are exactly the spots where cameras earn their keep. We usually fit one camera on the drive or parking bay, one on the side passage and one at the front door, all on the Hik-Connect app so alerts come straight to your phone. Cable runs through the loft or tidy trunking, fixings go into mortar where possible, and we keep off render and cladding. If you have a long garden with a shed, garage or workshop at the bottom, a rear camera covering it does more than a second camera on the front. For a High Street shop, a camera over the till, one on the door and one on the rear entrance usually covers the real risk.
Wolsey Park on the western edge of Rayleigh is the big one locally, with more than one builder working across the same estate. If you have just moved in, we fit cameras once snagging is done, run cables through the loft and keep fixings to the minimum, so nothing complicates the builder's warranty.
