Sarum Systems installs and maintains CCTV across Witham and the villages around it, including Rivenhall, Silver End and Kelvedon. We fit Hikvision cameras to new-build homes at Rectory Fields and The Mulberries, older houses around Chipping Hill and Newland Street, town-centre shops, and commercial units on Eastways and Freebournes. The survey is free, you talk directly to the engineer, and maintained systems get attendance within three hours. We also take on camera systems another installer fitted and left behind.

Witham has changed shape twice. The first time was in the late 1960s and 1970s, when large estates went up on the west and north sides of the town for families moving out of London. The second is happening now, with new streets off Hatfield Road at The Mulberries and around Evans Way at Rectory Fields, and more building out at Kelvedon and Silver End. Underneath that is the old town: Chipping Hill with its parish church, and Newland Street with its Georgian fronts, coaching inns and long back plots running behind the shops. Commercially, the estates around Eastways, Freebournes and Crittall Road sit close to the A12, which gives a quick way in and out for anyone who should not be there. With trains to Liverpool Street in around 45 minutes, plenty of Witham homes are empty for most of the working day. External fittings have to respect local rules, and we always work to the guidance published by Braintree District Council.
New-build buyers at Rectory Fields and The Mulberries usually want a camera on the drive, one on the front door and one covering the side gate or garden, all viewable on the phone. We route cables through the loft and soffits so nothing trails across fresh brickwork, fix into mortar joints rather than face bricks where we can, and leave the job tidy enough not to complicate snagging or the structural warranty. On the 1960s and 1970s estates, shared parking areas and footpaths between houses are often the weak spot, so we aim cameras at your own gate and car rather than the whole space. Flats above shops on Newland Street often share a yard with the business below, so coverage needs agreeing. On Eastways and Freebournes we fit identification cameras at gates and doors, with overview cameras across yards and loading areas.
Witham's new estates are spread around the edge of the town, with more going up in the villages between Witham and Braintree. If you have just moved in, we fit cameras once snagging is done, run cables through the loft and keep fixings to the minimum, so nothing complicates the builder's warranty.
