Ajax is the alarm we fit as standard at Sarum Systems, and we install, commission and service it across Essex, Hertfordshire and Suffolk from our base in Harlow. That covers new systems for homes, offices, schools and industrial units, and existing Ajax systems that another company fitted and then stopped looking after. Every installation is designed to BS EN 50131, set up on your phone before we leave, and backed by our three hour response commitment on maintained systems. Free survey, and you deal with the engineer, not a call centre.
Ajax Systems makes wireless intruder alarms that run on its own Jeweller radio for alarms and events, with photos carried separately over its Wings radio. Communication between detectors and the hub is two-way and encrypted, and the system reports tampering and lost devices. Because nothing needs a cable run back to a panel, Ajax suits occupied homes, freshly decorated interiors, rented property and commercial units where chasing walls is not an option. The Hub 2 and Hub 2 Plus we fit are certified to Security Grade 2 under EN 50131, the grade most homes and many small businesses need. Everything is run from the Ajax app, so owners, staff and letting agents can arm, disarm and check status from anywhere.
Control panel with Ethernet and two SIM slots, Grade 2 certified, up to 100 wireless devices and support for MotionCam photo verification. Our usual choice for homes and small premises.
Adds Wi-Fi to Ethernet and dual SIM, with the channels working in parallel and up to 200 devices. Suits larger houses, schools and commercial units with many doors and zones.
Indoor motion detector with a built-in camera that takes a series of photos when it triggers, so you can see what set the alarm off within seconds, before anyone drives out.
Photo on demand version that lets authorised users take a picture from the app. It is off by default and shortens battery life, so we enable it only where it earns its keep.
External detector with two PIR sensors, an IP56 housing and a photo camera, used to cover yards, drives and the back of commercial units before anyone reaches the building.
Ajax systems are straightforward to take over, as long as the owner still holds the admin account. Installer access is granted by the hub owner in the app, and an admin with full rights can revoke access for a previous installer or company at any time. So if your original installer has gone quiet, you do not need a new alarm. You invite our PRO account, then we check every device's signal and battery, update the hub, tidy the user list and put the system on a maintenance plan. If nobody can find the admin login, tell us at survey and we will work out the cleanest route back in.
Around Harlow and across Essex and Hertfordshire, Ajax solves a lot of awkward jobs. New-build estates get a proper alarm without lifting fresh flooring or chasing new plaster. Letting agents managing rental homes can give each tenancy its own user and remove it the day the tenants leave, with up to 50 users on a Hub 2. Industrial units on Templefields and similar estates get MotionCam Outdoor on the yard, so a trigger arrives with a photo rather than just a notification. Schools can split buildings into separate security groups, so the sports hall can be in use while classrooms stay armed.
