Sarum Systems installs, services and upgrades Paxton access control and video door entry across Essex, Hertfordshire and Suffolk, working from our base in Harlow. We fit Net2, Paxton10 and Paxton Entry in offices, schools, blocks of flats, industrial units and managed lets, and we take over Paxton systems another company installed, including older Net2 sites running on a PC under a desk that nobody wants to touch. Every installation is designed so escape doors release on the fire alarm. Free survey and a three hour response on maintained systems.
Paxton makes access control and video door entry systems that cover most of the buildings we work in. Net2 is its networked access control system, administered from one or more PCs and licence free, with a free Net2 Lite version that suits most sites and Net2 Pro for more advanced control. Paxton10 combines access control and video management in one system, run through online software and apps and scaling to 1,000 doors and 1,000 cameras. Paxton Entry is the video door entry range, which can run standalone or connect to Net2 or Paxton10. That spread makes Paxton a sensible fit for anything from a two door office to a multi-site school.
Networked access control run from one or more PCs. Licence free with free upgrades, available as Net2 Lite or Net2 Pro, and able to integrate with fire and intruder alarm systems.
Single door controller that connects over TCP/IP or RS485, stores events locally and can run independently of the PC. Works with Paxton or third-party readers.
Access control and video management in one system, scaling to 1,000 doors and 1,000 cameras, with phone credentials through Paxton Key, lockdown and fire and intruder alarm integration.
Video door entry built from an external panel, control unit and internal monitor. Runs standalone or networked, and users can answer the door from a phone with the Paxton Entry app.
Lets most existing Net2 proximity and keypad readers work on a Paxton10 controller, giving an upgrade path from Net2 without replacing every reader on day one.
A lot of the Paxton systems we are called to were fitted years ago and then left. The Net2 server sits on an old PC, the person who knew the password has moved on, and fobs for former staff still open the front door. We audit every controller, door and user, back up the database, update the Net2 software and delete tokens nobody can account for. We also check the fire alarm interface, because Net2 relies on its server and controllers to unlock doors on alarm, so essential escape doors need a hardwired release and a break glass unit as a second method.
Paxton suits the mix of buildings around Harlow and across Essex and Hertfordshire. Schools use it to keep one visitor route open during the day and open specific doors for evening lettings. Multi-tenant units on Templefields and similar estates give each business control of its own doors while the landlord keeps the gate. Letting agents and block managers use Paxton Entry so residents can answer the door from their phone, and lost fobs are cancelled the same day. Offices in older converted buildings use Net2 to replace keys that were never handed back.
