Sarum Systems installs, services and repairs Advanced fire alarm panels across Essex, Hertfordshire and Suffolk from our base in Harlow. We fit MxPro 5 on larger and networked buildings and Go on smaller standalone sites, and we take over Advanced panels other companies installed, including legacy MxPro 4 systems that are no longer sold. Whether you need a fault fixed, a six monthly service, cause and effect changed after a refit or a full panel replacement, the work is done in-house with a three hour response on maintained systems.
Advanced makes analogue addressable fire alarm panels for sites ranging from small blocks of flats to large networked buildings. Its MxPro 5 is a multiprotocol panel that works with Apollo, Argus, Hochiki and Nittan detectors, so an existing loop can often stay in place when a panel is replaced. Panels come in one, two, four or eight loop formats and network up to 200 nodes. Go brings MxPro 5 features to a single loop, non-networkable panel for smaller sites. Built-in diagnostics such as scope on board and a multimeter help an engineer find loop faults faster, and AlarmCalm adds false alarm management for buildings that suffer repeated activations.
Multiprotocol addressable panel in one, two, four or eight loop formats, with up to 254 devices per loop depending on protocol and networking up to 200 nodes and 2,000 zones.
Single loop, non-networkable panels for smaller sites. Go supports up to 50 addresses and Go+ the maximum for the chosen protocol, with 15 zonal LEDs built in.
No longer sold but still in service on existing sites. Advanced's ConfigTool can convert an MxPro 4 configuration for an MxPro 5, avoiding a full reprogram when the panel is replaced.
A 10 inch touchscreen remote terminal with interactive maps and zone plans, suited to reception areas where staff need to see exactly where an alarm is.
Advanced panels are often part of a networked site, so a takeover needs care. We start by getting hold of the existing configuration, recording every loop, zone and cause and effect rule, and checking the logs. The MxPro 5 stores 5,000 event and diagnostic entries, so intermittent faults usually leave a trail. We test devices and sounders, check batteries and network wiring, and only then change anything. Where an MxPro 4 needs replacing, its configuration can be converted for an MxPro 5 rather than rebuilt from scratch, which saves time and keeps the cause and effect you already rely on.
Advanced panels suit many of the buildings we work on around Harlow and across Essex and Hertfordshire. Schools that have grown over the years often run several networked panels, and cause and effect needs reviewing after each new block. Blocks of flats managed by letting agents and landlords suit a Go panel covering the common parts. Industrial units on Templefields with dust or steam near detectors can use AlarmCalm to cut repeat false alarms. Larger sites can add TouchControl at reception so staff see the location of an alarm at a glance.
