Sarum Systems installs, services and repairs Kentec fire alarm panels across Essex, Hertfordshire and Suffolk from our base in Harlow. We fit new Kentec panels in schools, offices, industrial units and blocks of flats, and we take over Kentec panels other companies installed, from small conventional Sigma CP systems to networked Syncro and Taktis sites. If your panel is showing a fault, beeping at reception or has gone more than six months without a service, we attend maintained systems within three hours and can talk you through the display before we arrive.
Kentec Electronics makes fire alarm control panels, from conventional zoned panels to analogue addressable systems and extinguishing control. The Syncro AS addressable panel supports Apollo, Argus Vega and Hochiki detector protocols, so it can drive an existing loop of Apollo detectors rather than forcing a full device replacement. Taktis is Kentec's larger addressable panel, with a colour touch display and up to 16 loops. The Sigma CP is a conventional panel in two, four or eight zones. That range lets us match the panel to the building, from a small conventional system for a shop or surgery to an addressable network for a school or warehouse.
Analogue addressable panel with one or two loops, supporting Apollo, Argus Vega and Hochiki protocols. Networks up to 64 panels and stores the last 500 events.
Kentec's earlier multi-loop addressable panel with two or four detection loops, which we still service on existing networked sites. Kentec lists Syncro networks as upgradable to Taktis.
Addressable panel with 2 to 16 loops, a 7 inch colour touch display that works with gloves, Apollo and Hochiki protocol support and up to 5,000 cause and effect rules.
Conventional panel with two, four or eight zones, in standard and two-wire versions, certified to BS EN54-2 and EN54-4 and suitable for BS 5839-1 installations.
Conventional extinguishing control panel covering one to four areas, used to manage gas suppression release in server rooms and similar protected spaces.
A Kentec panel showing a fault is usually telling you something specific. Addressable panels report device problems such as a missing device, a double address or a changed device type, and other common causes include standby batteries at the end of their life or a loop damaged during building work. We read the event log, find the cause and fix it, rather than silencing the buzzer and leaving. When we take over a Kentec panel from another installer, we record the configuration, check every zone and device, replace tired batteries and put the system on a six monthly service plan.
Kentec panels turn up in plenty of buildings around Harlow and across Essex and Hertfordshire, often in a cupboard by reception that nobody has opened since the installer left. Schools need cause and effect that matches the current layout after each extension. Industrial units on Templefields that are split or re-let need zones relabelled and devices re-addressed. Landlords and letting agents with blocks of flats need common area systems serviced and logged to meet their duties as responsible person. Where an old panel has failed, a Syncro AS can often take over the existing Apollo detectors.
